This red sauce is very hot and tasty. It can be accompanied with Dumplings, Momos, Spring rolls or with any party food or snack.I personally like it hot but its up to you whether you want to make it medium or hot.
Course: Starter Preparation Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 to 20 minutes
Ingredients
Red Capsicum or bell peppers 1 (seeds removed)
Red Chillies: Cayenne peppers
Garlic: 3 to 4 cloves
Black Salt: according to taste
Oil: 2 to 3 tablespoon
Red Chili Powder 1 teaspoon
Water half cup
Chili Flakes 1 teaspoon
Lemon half
Chaat masala: 1 tablespoon
Cooking Instructions
Wash and take out the seeds from red bell pepper. Cut it into small pieces.
Now in a grinder, put red bell pepper, red chilies, garlic cloves and some water to grind it smoothly.
Take out the red chili paste into a bowl.
Now heat the pan and put some oil into it.
Add chili paste into the oil and cook it on the medium flame for 5 minutes,
Now add red chili powder, red chili flakes, chaat masala, salt in it and stir it well and let it cook on low flame for around 10 minutes.
Turn off the flame and let it cool for around 15 minutes.
Check the salt and sourness of the sauce and add lemon water.
Pour it into the pan and serve it with your food.
Notes
You can choose red chili according to the availability and according to your taste and how much spices do you like.
Chaat masala is optional if it is not available otherwise it can be bought from Asian shop.
