My today's recipe is orzo which is a short cut pasta and has the shape of large grain rice. Its an oval shaped very little sized pasta that actually looks like rice grain. This pasta is usually made of white flour but can also be made from whole grain.
The name of orzo pasta is common in North America but in Italy, it is known as barley.
Orzo pasta is a very versatile pasta that can be made in different recipes and is served as a salad, pilaf or risotto. You can make Orzo Pasta colorful by adding food coloring like saffron. It is a quick and super easy recipe which can be served in either lunch or dinner.
You can make this orzo pasta within half an hour with very few ingredients like garlic, olive oil, black pepper and some vegetables etc. The final product of this pasta recipe is a bit moist but not very wet. The flavors are just awesome and I am sure that once you try this then you will cook this recipe time again.
In addition to the given ingredients, you can also add Parmesan cheese for extra taste. I have used chicken wings in this recipe but you can also use boneless chicken in it.
