This is a vegan version of chilli chicken or chilli fish which is very delectable and can be enjoyed as a snack or a side dish with noodles or fried rice. The main ingredient in this is cauliflower which is first marinated with some spices and fried and then saute with some onions and add some sauces like sweet chilli,soy sauce,chilli sauce. The cauliflower in this dish is crisp and little bit sweet and tangy infused with the flavours sauces and the aroma of garlic which give this vegan dish some appetizing flavours.

Ingredients For frying the cauliflower
Cauliflower 700 gm White flour around 3 tbsp
Onions 2 medium Gram flour 2 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp Water around 100 ml or as per consistency
Soy Sauce 2 tbsp Salt as per taste
Sweet chilli sauce 1 tbsp Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
Chilli sauce 1/2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
Green Chillies 1 tsp Paprika powder 1/2 tsp
Garlic 2 cloves chopped Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Paprika 1/2 tsp
Salt According to taste
Cornflour 1 1/2 tbsp
Water 90 ml accordingly
Cooking Instructions
Cut the cauliflower into small pieces.
Marinate the cauliflower with little bit salt, black pepper, and paprika and keep it aside.
Now take the large bowl and add all the above ingredients for frying the cauliflower like gram flour,white flour and other ingredients with water to make a batter.
Add the cauliflower into the batter and deep fry it in a hot oil.
After frying the cauliflower , keep it aside.
Now take the wok and add oil into it .
Add chopped garlic and saute it
Add onions into the oil and saute the onions with garlic.
Add chopped green chillies if you want.
Stir fry the onions for 5 to 8 minutes from high to medium flame.
Add some salt and dry spices like black pepper, paprika powder into it.
After few minutes add all the sauces and saute it for 5 minutes.
Now add cornflour into half cup of water and mix it well.
Add this cornflour mix into the onions and saute it till it gets thicker in consistency.
When the water gets little bit dry then add fried cauliflower and mix it gently.
Cook it just for few more minutes till it gets little dry.
If you want this recipe a little bit more wet then you can add more water into it as per your taste.
Cover the chilli cauliflower for few minutes before serving it .
Notes
Check the consistency of the batter before frying the cauliflower. It should not be very thick or too thin.
Adjust spices according to your taste.
